Copenhagen Denmark From Frihavn Cruise Terminal to Nordhavn Train Station for City Center and Airport

Copenhagen Denmark From Frihavn Cruise Terminal to Nordhavn Train Station for City Center and Airport

If you want to go by public transport to the City Center and to the airport you should follow this map:

I was using the wait time to do my researches:

The accessibility by public transport is not so good.

Our taxi driver told us a ride to the Central Station is about 120.00 DKK and to the airport about 300.00 DKK (2009).

Bus 26 only operates Monday to Friday and on the weekends it only serves Langeline-Cruise Terminal but not Freeport-Cruise Terminal.

As it is a Sunday: 15 -20 minutes walk to the commuter train (S-tog) station Nordhavn...

.... and who need some excersise incl. baggage...

You see left of the white building the platform and right of the white building its the port exit. Here is where Bus 26 stops during weekdays.

Here you have the 2009 schedule for download:

http://www.moviatrafik.dk/Timetable%20Resources/26-0026-030209.pdf

But you are going a zick-zack-course to the left then to the right and then again to the left... before you are getting to the station...

Above again the platform

and

below the port exit with the bridge you need to pass under to get to the station.

At this time more impressions for whose who wants to walk. So its your last chance to fill up your tupperware at the Lido-Restaurant for a long walk...

So first to the left...

then to turn right to get out of the port...

Then you left the port to get to the left again...

Straight ahead you should go for the station...

If you missed to get on the other side of the tracks then you will find out that the station does not have an access to the Freeport-Side...

But at the train station you find an elevator:

and ticket machines:

And if you ever arrive by a cruise ship: have enough Danish change... or ask your bank for the PIN of your credit card...

2 zones for journeys to the city center
3 zones for journeys to the airport

So if you have a late flight you can first to Central Station (Kbenhavn H (= Hovedbanegrd))
and store your bags here:

We go to Nrreport as here should be subway (Metro) and regional trains to the airport available.

The trains leave every 10 minutes and they stop not so often like the metro. Lets take the train.

A bad idea as the narrow stairs were the only access to the platform...

Seemed to be that we just missed one... should we use the subway???

But until we find the other platform the subway would be also gone...

We were in the right train and the advantage to board ahead of Central Station: its empty and once you arrive at Central Station it was very crowded.

... but we made it finally...

Another option is to change already at sterport but there you do not have the subway (Metro) as additional option.
